All F1 paintings are hand painted on screen using a computer instead of the traditional paints and brushes. I use specialised software to create exactly the right hatching effect for each painting. Each brush stroke is individually applied and the colours built up in exactly the same manner as an artist using traditional materials would do. Each painting takes several hours to complete.
Each Formula 1 painting is made step by step and each painting takes several hours to complete. I have chosen a graphic pad over a standard paintbrush. Of course my art is not touched by my hand all the time. First I draw my close-up on paper and then I scan the sketch and paint and mix all the colors on my screen together. As ridiculous as all this sounds, it somehow seems to make some dramatic difference in a few collectors' minds; I think that opinion is a bit elitist and, well... pretty shallow because if anything, digital art is more complex in its process of creation. Not that it is better, but it just makes it a little different. After all, it is not the process that a collector and admirer are paying for necessarily. It is the imagery that they have developed a connection to. It is the love for the painting that drives one to purchase and treasure it. My digital art is just as complex, exclusive and original than if I used paint on a canvas.
